Your retirement years are full of possibility. Let's make the most of them.
Financial preparation is an important part of retirement. But preparing for the life you'll actually live matters, too.
Through personalized retirement coaching and life design, I help individuals and couples who are preparing for retirement, adjusting to this new stage of life, or reimagining the years ahead explore what matters most and create a practical path toward a life that's meaningful, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable.
Envision what's possible. Design what matters. Build what's next.
You've planned for retirement. Have you thought about how you want to live it?
For years, work, family, responsibilities, and familiar routines have shaped your days. Retirement offers the freedom to decide what comes next—and the opportunity to create a life that reflects who you are and what matters most.
Maybe retirement is approaching, and you're excited about the possibilities but want to give some thought to how you'll spend your time, what will give your days purpose, and what you want this season of life to become.
Perhaps you're financially ready to retire but aren't quite sure you're personally ready. Work has provided structure, relationships, and a sense of identity, and it's hard to imagine what life will look like without it.
For others, this transition comes after years devoted primarily to raising a family. As children are now independent and your daily responsibilities have changed, you may find yourself wondering what you want this next chapter of life to look like—and what you want to make room for now.
Or maybe you've been retired for a while, and it's not quite what you imagined. You looked forward to these years, but now that you're here, you find yourself wondering, Is this it? Life may be comfortable, but it doesn't feel as fulfilling or satisfying as you'd hoped. You're beginning to wonder what it would take to make these years more meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable.
The freedom retirement offers doesn't automatically translate into a fulfilling life.
Without the familiar structure, purpose, and connections that once shaped your days, you may find yourself feeling restless, disconnected, or unsure how to spend your time.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
Trade uncertainty and trepidation for direction and confidence.
Wherever you are in the retirement journey, you have an opportunity to shape what comes next.
Giving thought to what matters most, what you want more of, and how you want to spend your time can help you move forward with greater clarity and intention—and begin creating a retirement you genuinely look forward to living.

The question that changed everything
Throughout my career as a psychologist, I've helped people navigate significant life transitions. And over the years, I began noticing something about retirement.
People often sought support several years into retirement, after struggling to find the direction, connection, or fulfillment they'd hoped for.
And I found myself wondering:
What if they had come sooner?
What if people had the opportunity to think about the life they wanted to create before retirement began, rather than waiting until they felt dissatisfied or uncertain about what came next?
Those questions eventually led me to become a Certified Professional Retirement Coach.
And while I believe there's tremendous value in preparing thoughtfully for retirement, I also know that it's never too late to reimagine what these years can become.
Whether you're approaching retirement or have already been retired for years, you deserve the opportunity to explore what's possible and make the most of the years ahead.
I’m Dr. Renée Woodall.

RETIREMENT LIFE ARCHITECTURE™
A framework for designing a retirement that's uniquely yours.
A fulfilling retirement involves more than deciding how to spend your free time. It's about considering the different parts of life that contribute to your sense of purpose, connection, enjoyment, and well-being.
My Retirement Life Architecture™ framework helps us look at retirement from nine important perspectives—and consider how they fit together in the life you want to create.
Identity & Purpose — Explore who you are beyond the roles and responsibilities that have shaped your life, and what gives you a sense of meaning and direction.
Values & Priorities - Clarify what matters most to you and how you want those priorities reflected in your choices.
Lifestyle Design - Imagine the experiences, activities, and opportunities you want to make part of your retirement.
Daily Rhythms - Create a satisfying balance of structure, flexibility, activity and downtime in your everyday life.
Relationships - Consider how you want to nurture important relationships and make room for the people who matter most.
Community & Belonging - Explore ways to build connections, find your people, and feel part of something beyond yourself.
Well-Being - Consider the habits and choices that support your physical, emotional, spiritual, mental and overall well-being.
Fun & Adventure - Make room for curiosity, play, new experiences, and the things you've always wanted to try.
Legacy & Contribution - Explore how you want to share your gifts, make a difference, and contribute to the people and causes you care about.
Your retirement doesn't have to look like anyone else's.
Together, we'll explore the areas most relevant to you and how they can come together to support a retirement that reflects who you are and how you want to live.
